Renormalized holographic entanglement entropy in Lovelock gravity

We study the renormalization of Entanglement Entropy in holographic CFTs dual to Lovelock gravity. It is known that EE gravity given by Jacobson-Myers (JM) functional. As usual, due divergent Weyl factor Fefferman-Graham expansion boundary metric for Asymptotically AdS spaces, this entropy functional infinite. By considering Kounterterm procedure, which utilizes extrinsic counterterms order renormalize on-shell action AAdS spacetimes, we propose a new prescription then explicitly show cancellation divergences up next-to-leading radial coordinate, case spherical entangling surfaces. Using prescription, directly find $C-$function candidates odd and even dimensional Our results illustrate notable improvement method affords over other approaches, as it non-perturbative does not require theory has limiting Einstein behavior.
